Ingredients and Substitutions for Cheese Crust Pizza:

garlic, (1 clove, minced): Adds flavor to the spinach topping. Feel free to use garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic on hand.

Sauce – My favorite option is marinara sauce,. You can also try pesto or Alfredo sauce. Store-bought versions of tomato sauce or these alternatives work too, just make sure to check the labels for any added sugar or starch.

Cheese for the Crust (2 cups shredded mozzarella, and 1 cup parmesan,): Provides a crispy and flavorful base. Feel free to substitute with other melting cheeses like cheddar or provolone for a different flavor.

Egg (1 large): Helps bind the cheese crust together. You can replace it with a flax egg (1 tbsp flaxseed + 3 tbsp water) if you’re looking for an egg-free option.

bacon, (4 strips): Adds a savory, crispy element. Turkey bacon or a plant-based alternative works great if you prefer.

mushrooms, (1 cup, sliced): Adds an earthy depth of flavor. Substitute with other veggies like bell peppers or zucchini for variety.

Spinach (1 cup): A nutrient-dense, low-carb topping that pairs perfectly with the richness of the cheese and bacon.

Recommended Tools for This Recipe:

parchment paper,: Keeps the cheese crust from sticking and makes cleanup easy.

pizza stone, or baking sheet,: A pizza stone ensures a crispy crust, but a regular baking sheet works well too.
